Miskwaadesi sits on the traditional territory of the Nbiising Anishinabeg, who have lived here since time immemorial. Most materials, including the granite for Miskwaadesi, were sourced from this territory. The flagpole on-site is where an Indigenous flag will be flown year-round, emphasizing the importance of creating urban Indigenous spaces, learning, and reconciliation in our cities.
